What's IN the water they have to be in? Many do not think about that.

Here are my thoughts:

Water could contain human and animal waste.

Petrol and oil from vehicles and hazardous industrial chemicals.

Contamination by agricultural runoff, again raw sewage and hazardous industrial chemicals pose a

threat to human health, both during and after a flood.
